Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cellgram-CKD is an allogeneic bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell therapy developed for the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD). The product consists of mesenchymal stem cells sourced from donor bone marrow and is administered intravenously. Its mechanism of action involves apoptosis inhibition and cellular replacement, aiming to slow or reverse kidney damage by inhibiting cell death and promoting tissue regeneration in the kidneys. Developed by Pharmicell, Cellgram-CKD has been evaluated in phase 1 clinical trials for safety in patients with CKD. The drug represents a novel approach within regenerative medicine, targeting urogenital diseases with a focus on chronic kidney disease[1][6].
