Overview

Cellgram-CLI is an autologous bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell therapy developed by Pharmicell for the treatment of critical limb ischemia (CLI). The product consists of mesenchymal stem cells isolated from a patient's own bone marrow, expanded ex vivo, and administered via intramuscular injection. The mechanism of action is based on the regenerative, immunomodulatory, and angiogenic properties of mesenchymal stem cells, which can promote tissue repair and neovascularization in ischemic limbs. This approach aims to improve blood flow, reduce pain, enhance wound healing, and decrease the risk of major amputation in patients with CLI who have limited revascularization options. Clinical studies with similar autologous bone marrow-derived cell therapies have demonstrated safety and potential efficacy in improving outcomes for CLI patients[8].
