Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cellgram-DC-PC is an autologous dendritic cell-based cancer vaccine developed by Pharmicell for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) and has also been investigated in ovarian and pancreatic cancers. The therapy involves isolating a patient's own dendritic cells, which are then processed and reintroduced to stimulate the immune system—specifically T lymphocytes—against cancer cells. Its mechanism of action centers on immunostimulation and T lymphocyte activation to enhance anti-tumor immunity. Clinical development has included phase 1 trials in prostate cancer; however, some studies have been terminated due to recruitment challenges[1][2][5].
