Cellgram ED is an autologous bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy developed by Pharmicell for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). It is specifically designed for patients who are non-responsive to conventional phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. The therapy involves the extraction of a patient's own bone marrow, from which MSCs are isolated, cultured, and subsequently injected into the corpus cavernosum of the penis. The mechanism of action relies on the regenerative potential of MSCs, which exert paracrine effects by secreting various growth factors that promote the repair of damaged cavernous nerves and vascular endothelial cells. This regenerative process aims to restore natural erectile function in patients with severe ED. The drug is currently undergoing clinical evaluation in South Korea.
