CelliStem OA-sEV is an exosome-based therapeutic candidate developed by CelliStem for the treatment of osteoarthritis. It consists of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) derived from mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) through a proprietary isolation and purification process. These vesicles carry bioactive cargo, including microRNAs and proteins, that exert anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects within the joint. The therapy is designed to be administered via intra-articular injection to modulate the local microenvironment, inhibit inflammatory cytokines, and promote the regeneration of damaged chondrocytes. By targeting the underlying pathophysiology of joint degeneration rather than just providing symptomatic relief, CelliStem OA-sEV aims to offer a disease-modifying approach to osteoarthritis management.
