Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cellogen Therapeutics' CAR-T cell therapy is an autologous, next-generation chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) program targeting hematological malignancies, specifically leukemia and lymphoma. Developed by the Delhi-based biotech Cellogen Therapeutics with strategic investment from NATCO Pharma, the platform includes bi-specific, third-generation, and fourth-generation CAR-T constructs. The lead candidate is a bispecific, third-generation CAR-T therapy designed to improve efficacy and reduce escape mechanisms compared to traditional single-target CAR-Ts. The therapy involves genetically engineering a patient's own T cells to express receptors that identify and eliminate cancer cells. As of early 2024, the company was preparing to initiate Phase 1 clinical trials, focusing on providing affordable and accessible treatment options.
