Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cells-1 (also known as TIDEWAVE BIO CELLS-1) is a preclinical-stage, gene-enhanced dendritic cell therapy being developed by Tidewave Bio for the treatment of solid tumors. The therapy consists of hematopoietic stem cell (HSC)-derived dendritic cells that are genetically modified to overexpress the chemokines CXCL9 and CXCL10, which are designed to augment immune cell recruitment and activation. These cells are loaded with patient-specific tumor lysate obtained from a biopsy, providing a broad spectrum of tumor antigens to train and enhance effector killer T cells and memory T cells. Administered intradermally, Cells-1 aims to mount a full-scale immune attack against multiple tumor antigens and prevent cancer recurrence.
