Celotix is a topical corticosteroid lotion marketed by Alicia Healthcare, an Indian pharmaceutical company. The formulation contains clobetasol propionate, a very high-potency (Class I) synthetic glucocorticoid. It is indicated for the short-term treatment of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of moderate to severe corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, such as psoriasis and recalcitrant eczemas. Clobetasol propionate acts as an agonist at the glucocorticoid receptor, leading to the inhibition of inflammatory pathways by inducing lipocortins and suppressing the release of arachidonic acid.
