Overview
Centrum Turmeric Extract (also known as Extracto de cúrcuma Centrum) is a standardized botanical extract of Curcuma longa (turmeric) rhizome containing 12% curcumin. Developed and manufactured by Especialidades Farmacéuticas Centrum (a subsidiary of Asacpharma), it is approved in Spain as an oral traditional herbal medicine for the treatment of hepatobiliary functional digestive disorders, such as heavy digestion and flatulence, by acting as a choleretic and cholagogue to facilitate bile production and flow. Additionally, the extract has been investigated in Phase IV clinical trials for the treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in combination with visible light phototherapy, leveraging its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
