Cenv3 is a synthetic peptide vaccine candidate developed by the National Liver Institute in Egypt for the prevention and treatment of Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) infection. The vaccine is composed of synthetic peptides derived from the highly conserved regions of the HCV envelope glycoproteins E1 and E2. It is designed to induce a robust immune response, potentially serving as a prophylactic agent in healthy individuals or as a therapeutic vaccine for patients with chronic HCV, including those who have not responded to standard interferon and ribavirin therapy. Clinical evaluation has progressed through Phase I and Phase II trials to assess its safety, immunogenicity, and virological efficacy.
