Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cenvacibart (REGN7508) is a fully human monoclonal antibody developed by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals that targets coagulation factor XI (FXI). By inhibiting FXI, cenvacibart aims to prevent the formation of blood clots (thrombosis) while potentially minimizing the risk of bleeding compared to traditional anticoagulants. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials (such as ROXI-APEX) for the prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients undergoing major orthopedic surgery, such as total knee arthroplasty.
