Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cepan is a topical dermatological cream developed and manufactured by UNIA Pharmaceutical Plant. It is a multi-ingredient formulation containing onion ethanol extract (*Allii cepae extractum fluidum*), chamomile extract (*Chamomillae extractum*), sodium heparin (*Heparinum natricum*), and allantoin (*Allantoinum*). The product is specifically indicated for the prevention and treatment of various types of scars, including hypertrophic scars, keloids, and scars resulting from burns, surgery, or acne. Cepan works by softening and flattening scar tissue, improving skin elasticity, and reducing local inflammatory reactions. The botanical components provide anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, while heparin acts to inhibit fibroblast proliferation and allantoin promotes tissue regeneration and soothing of the skin.
