Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This combination is not a standard or commonly prescribed formulation. Cephalexin is a cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA replication. Metronidazole is an antibiotic and antiprotozoal agent that damages DNA in anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, leading to cell death. Together, they could theoretically treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including those involving aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
