Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CEQ626 is an investigational RNA interference (RNAi)-based therapeutic candidate being developed by Marina Biotech (formerly MDRNA) for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disorders. It is one of several “Claudin-2 strains” (including CEQ621 and CEQ626) engineered to modulate intestinal tight junction protein claudin-2, aiming to restore epithelial barrier integrity and reduce gut inflammation characteristic of inflammatory bowel disease.[7][10] Preclinical data cited by the company indicated that these claudin-2 strains produced significant effects without notable drug–drug interactions or common adverse events such as edema, supporting further development in inflammatory bowel indications.[7][10]
