This is a combination therapy of **continuous erythropoietin receptor activator (CERA)** and **darbepoetin alfa**, both of which are erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs). These agents function as synthetic forms of erythropoietin, stimulating erythropoiesis by binding to and activating the erythropoietin receptor on erythroid progenitor cells in the bone marrow. Both drugs are primarily indicated for the treatment of anemia due to CKD. This combination refers to research studies directly comparing the safety and efficacy of these agents; there is no fixed-dose combination product but rather head-to-head use in clinical studies[1][2].
