Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CeraVe Baby Diaper Rash Cream is a topical ointment developed with pediatric dermatologists to help treat and prevent diaper rash in infants. Its primary active ingredient is petrolatum (46.5%), which acts as a skin protectant by forming a physical barrier on the skin’s surface to seal out wetness and prevent transepidermal water loss. The formula also contains three essential ceramides (ceramide NP, ceramide AP, ceramide EOP), hyaluronic acid for moisture retention, vitamin E for soothing benefits, and other emollients such as mineral oil and dimethicone. This product is fragrance-free, lanolin-free, paraben-free, dye-free, gluten-free, and accepted by the National Eczema Association. It helps maintain the protective skin barrier while soothing chafed or irritated skin due to diaper rash[1][3][5][7].
