Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ceraxa Plus is a second-generation nanoliposomal therapeutic platform developed by PendreaBio. It consists of a Ceraxa nanoparticle with a hollow core designed to encapsulate standard-of-care (SoC) chemotherapeutic agents. This formulation aims to combine the cytotoxic effects of the encapsulated chemotherapy with the bioactivity of the Ceraxa nanoparticle itself, which targets the ceramide pathway to induce apoptosis in cancer cells. The platform is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) (as PB 2001) and various solid tumors (as PB 2002).
