Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cerebrain is a nutraceutical compound formulated as an oral vial containing 1200 mg of choline bitartrate. Developed by the Italian company Farmaceutici DAMOR, it is primarily indicated for the management of cognitive impairment and frailty, particularly in elderly populations or those with hypertension-related cognitive decline. Choline bitartrate serves as a dietary source of choline, a critical precursor for the biosynthesis of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter essential for memory, mood, and cognitive function. By augmenting cholinergic activity, Cerebrain aims to support brain health and mitigate symptoms of mild cognitive impairment (MCI). It has been evaluated in double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trials to assess its impact on cognitive frailty and functional status.
