Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cerebrovital is a multi-ingredient nutraceutical developed by NutriMed, designed to support cognitive function and improve cerebral circulation. The formulation typically combines standardized extracts of *Ginkgo biloba* and *Centella asiatica* (Gotu kola) with lecithin. The mechanism of action is synergistic: *Ginkgo biloba* improves blood rheology and microcirculation by antagonizing platelet-activating factor receptors and providing antioxidant effects; *Centella asiatica* enhances neuroprotection and supports collagen synthesis in vessel walls; and lecithin provides essential phospholipids, such as phosphatidylcholine, which are critical for maintaining neuronal membrane integrity and synthesizing the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. It is primarily used to address memory impairment, reduced concentration, and to support recovery following cerebrovascular events or head injuries.
