Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ceria-NHW is a therapeutic platform developed by Ceria Therapeutics for the treatment of non-healing wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers. The drug utilizes a cerium oxide nanoparticle (CNP) delivery system conjugated with a microRNA-146a (miR-146a) mimic. This combination is designed to target the TLR4/NF-kB inflammatory pathway by suppressing the expression of Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 1 (IRAK1) and TNF receptor-associated factor 6 (TRAF6). By reducing chronic inflammation and oxidative stress, Ceria-NHW aims to promote tissue repair and wound closure. It is currently in IND-enabling studies for both injectable and topical administration.
