Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cervitec F is a universal protective dental varnish that combines fluoride, chlorhexidine diacetate, and cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) in one application. It contains 1400 ppm fluoride from ammonium fluoride in a varnish base with ethanol and water as solvents. The varnish is designed to treat dentinal hypersensitivity secondary to exposed dentin and root cervical surfaces. It creates a mechanical barrier to protect exposed dentin and provides multiple protection mechanisms: fluoride for strengthening teeth and reducing caries risk, chlorhexidine for antimicrobial action, and CPC for preventing plaque buildup and gingival inflammation. The varnish has good moisture tolerance during application and readily flows into proximal areas and porous tooth surfaces.
