Overview

CERVLYSIS is an investigational oncolytic virus therapy being developed by CZ BioMed for the treatment of cervical cancer. It is part of the company's RVLYSIS platform, which utilizes a genetically engineered version of the human Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), a common cold virus. CERVLYSIS is designed to selectively infect and replicate within tumor cells while sparing normal, healthy tissue. This selective replication leads to direct tumor cell lysis (oncolysis) and the induction of apoptosis. Furthermore, the viral activity is intended to stimulate a systemic anti-tumor immune response by releasing tumor-associated antigens into the microenvironment. CERVLYSIS is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
