Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cetaphil Purifying Acne Serum (also marketed as Cetaphil Purifying Blemish Serum and Cetaphil Gentle Clear Triple-Action Acne Serum) is a topical skincare product developed by Galderma for the treatment of acne-prone and sensitive skin. Formulated with 0.5% salicylic acid, a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA), the serum acts as a keratolytic agent to gently exfoliate the skin, unclog pores, and reduce the appearance of blemishes, blackheads, and whiteheads. The formulation also contains skin-soothing and hydrating ingredients, including niacinamide, panthenol, succinic acid, and prebiotics, which help strengthen the skin's moisture barrier, balance sebum production, and support the skin microbiome without causing irritation or dryness.
