Overview

A combination therapy consisting of cetirizine, an H1-receptor antagonist, and theophylline, a non-specific phosphodiesterase inhibitor. This combination has been studied for the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria (CIU), where theophylline provides additional benefit when added to cetirizine therapy. The interaction between these two drugs is minimal and not considered clinically significant.
