Overview

Cetuximab + cisplatin + vinorelbine is a combination regimen used primarily as first-line treatment for advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) expressing epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). Cetuximab is a monoclonal antibody that targets the EGFR, inhibiting its signaling and thereby reducing tumor cell proliferation. Cisplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that causes DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. Vinorelbine is a vinca alkaloid that disrupts microtubule formation, inhibiting mitosis. The combination has demonstrated improved response rates and survival compared to chemotherapy alone, with an acceptable safety profile[1][3][5].
