Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CEVA II is a biological biomaterial developed by PrimeCell Advanced Therapy for use in cardiovascular surgery, specifically as vascular grafts and patches. The product is composed of decellularized porcine or bovine tissue, which is processed to remove cellular components that could trigger an immune response while preserving the structural and mechanical properties of the extracellular matrix (ECM). This decellularized scaffold is intended to facilitate vascular reconstruction and prevent thrombosis by providing a biocompatible environment that supports host tissue integration and regeneration. CEVA II is currently in the preclinical stage of development, undergoing in vitro testing and in vivo evaluation in animal models.
