CF-M801 is an investigational stem cell therapy consisting of human umbilical cord-derived osteoblasts (hUC-Os), which are osteogenic differentiation-induced cells from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSCs). The therapy is being developed for the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, specifically targeting joint preservation in diseases such as osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH), osteoporotic fractures, and as an adjunct to spinal fusion. The mechanism involves transplantation of these differentiated cells into affected bone tissue, where they are expected to promote bone regeneration and repair through direct engraftment and paracrine effects. The developer and active organization for this product is CEFO Co., Ltd. Clinical development has reached Phase 1 trials in South Korea[1][8].
