Overview

CG001419 is a highly active, orally administered small molecule developed by Cullgen as a first-in-class pan-TRK protein degrader. It is designed to selectively degrade both mutant and wild-type TRK (tropomyosin receptor kinase) proteins through targeted protein degradation, using Cullgen’s proprietary uSMITE platform. The drug is being developed for two main indications: - As a non-opioid, non-NSAID analgesic therapy for acute and chronic pain, aiming to reduce the risk of addiction associated with traditional pain medications. - For the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors—particularly those harboring NTRK gene fusions, point mutations, amplifications, or over-expression—where it may offer advantages over existing kinase inhibitors by overcoming secondary drug-resistant mutations in NTRK fusions and expanding clinical utility to other TRK abnormalities[1][2][4][5].
