It specifically targets the androgen receptor variant 7 (AR-V7), a truncated form of the androgen receptor that lacks the ligand-binding domain and is constitutively active. AR-V7 expression is a common mechanism of resistance to standard androgen receptor-directed therapies, such as enzalutamide and abiraterone, in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). By utilizing Cullgen's proprietary uSMITE (ubiquitin-mediated small molecule induced target elimination) platform, CG011792 induces the degradation of AR-V7 via the ubiquitin-proteasome system, thereby inhibiting its transcriptional activity and potentially overcoming resistance in advanced prostate cancer patients.
