Overview

CG223 is a small molecule dual inhibitor that targets both BET bromodomains (specifically BRD4) and the dopamine receptor D2 (DRD2). Developed by ConverGene as the lead candidate in their CVG101 program, CG223 is designed to address the complex signaling pathways in solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML). By simultaneously inhibiting epigenetic readers and G-protein coupled receptor signaling, the compound aims to overcome resistance mechanisms common in monotherapies. As of 2024, CG223 has progressed to IND-enabling studies and pre-clinical toxicology testing.
