Overview

**CG428** is an investigational topical proprietary botanical lotion developed by Legacy Healthcare for chemotherapy-induced alopecia, including persistent or permanent chemotherapy-induced alopecia in cancer survivors. It contains a four-botanical blend of **Allium cepa** onion, **Citrus limon** citrus, **Theobroma cacao** cocoa, and **Paullinia cupana** guarana. The proposed activity is local modulation of hair-follicle apoptosis and scalp inflammation, with the aim of restoring normal hair cycling and promoting hair regrowth. In a small randomized, double-blind pilot study in breast cancer survivors with permanent chemotherapy-induced alopecia, CG428 was generally tolerated and showed non-significant trends toward improved hair density and patient-reported improvement versus placebo.
