Overview

CGC-11047 is a polyamine analog developed as an anti-proliferative agent for cancer therapy. It acts by inhibiting polyamine biosynthetic enzymes and inducing catabolic enzymes such as spermidine/spermine N(1)-acetyltransferase (SSAT) and spermine oxidase (SMO), leading to increased reactive oxygen species and antiproliferative effects in tumor cells. Bevacizumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), inhibiting angiogenesis required for tumor growth. The combination of CGC-11047 with bevacizumab has been investigated in preclinical models and early-phase clinical trials for advanced solid tumors and lymphomas to assess safety, tolerability, and potential synergistic antitumor activity[3][5][6][8].
