CGEN-25007 is a novel peptide agonist developed by Compugen Ltd. that targets the G protein-coupled receptor 99 (GPR99), also known as the oxoglutarate receptor 1 (OXGR1). Discovered using Compugen's proprietary in silico predictive discovery infrastructure, the drug was primarily investigated for its potential in treating inflammatory and respiratory diseases, such as asthma. GPR99 is a receptor for alpha-ketoglutarate, and its activation is thought to modulate inflammatory responses.
