Overview

CGEN-25008 is a recombinant protein candidate discovered by Compugen Ltd. using its proprietary computational discovery platform. It is a splice variant of a B7-family-related protein, designed to function as an immune checkpoint modulator. The drug was primarily developed for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, with the mechanism of action centered on suppressing overactive T-cell responses and promoting immune tolerance. Preclinical studies evaluated its potential in models of rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory conditions. However, Compugen eventually shifted its corporate strategy to focus predominantly on immuno-oncology assets, such as COM701 and COM902, leading to the cessation of development for CGEN-25008.
