Overview

CGP35348 is a synthetic small molecule used primarily as a research tool; it functions as a selective antagonist at the gamma-aminobutyric acid type B (GABAB) receptor. By inhibiting GABAB receptor activity, CGP35348 has been shown to block baclofen-induced antinociception, reverse gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) effects on locomotor activity and dopamine release, and influence learning, memory, and neuromotor functions in animal models. It is primarily used in neuropharmacological research to investigate the physiological and behavioral roles of GABAB receptor signaling[1][3][4][6][7][8][9][10].
