Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CH-AM-1 is a selective, long-acting amylin receptor agonist (AMYRA) being developed for the treatment of obesity. Developed by Cinnabaris Biopharma, the peptide is designed to potently activate the amylin 1 receptor (AMY1R) while exhibiting significantly reduced activity at the calcitonin receptor (CTR) and amylin 3 receptor (AMY3R) compared to first-generation agonists like cagrilintide. This selectivity profile is intended to enhance weight loss efficacy and improve gastrointestinal tolerability. Preclinical data in cynomolgus monkeys indicate a prolonged half-life that may support once-monthly subcutaneous dosing in clinical settings.
