Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**CH505 TF chTrimer** is an investigational HIV-1 vaccine immunogen comprising a recombinant, stabilized chimeric SOSIP envelope trimer protein. It incorporates the N-terminal sequence of the transmitted-founder CH505 HIV-1 gp120 envelope into a BG505 SOSIP trimer scaffold to present a native-like HIV-1 Env conformation. The vaccine is designed to prime and expand CH103-like B-cell precursor lineages and promote neutralizing antibody responses directed at the HIV-1 CD4-binding site, including precursors capable of developing into broadly neutralizing antibodies. It has been evaluated in Phase 1 studies in healthy adults and is also being studied as a therapeutic vaccination strategy for adults with HIV-1 receiving suppressive antiretroviral therapy. Clinical protocols administer the protein with adjuvants such as 3M-052-AF with or without aluminum hydroxide, or ALFQ; these adjuvants are not intrinsic components of CH505 TF chTrimer itself.
