Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ch806 is a chimeric monoclonal antibody that targets a unique epitope on the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR). It specifically binds to both the de2-7 EGFR variant (EGFRvIII) and overexpressed wild-type EGFR in tumors, but does not bind to normal tissue EGFR expressed at physiological levels. This tumor-specific targeting differentiates it from other anti-EGFR therapies and potentially avoids the normal tissue toxicity seen with other EGFR-targeting antibodies.
