Overview

CHA Vaccine Institute's influenza vaccine is an adjuvanted recombinant protein vaccine candidate currently in the feasibility stage of development for the prevention of seasonal influenza. The vaccine utilizes the company's proprietary L-pampo adjuvant platform, which is a combination of bacterial lipoprotein Pam3 (a Toll-like receptor 2 ligand) and synthetic double-stranded RNA PolyI:C (a Toll-like receptor 3 ligand). This dual-targeting approach is designed to enhance both cellular (Th1) and humoral (antibody) immune responses against seasonal influenza antigens. By simultaneously activating TLR2 and TLR3 on antigen-presenting cells, the L-pampo adjuvant aims to improve the immunogenicity and protective efficacy of the recombinant influenza antigens compared to traditional unadjuvanted formulations.
