**ChAd155-RSV** is an investigational pediatric vaccine candidate based on a replication-deficient chimpanzee adenovirus (ChAd155) vector encoding three key respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) antigens: the fusion protein (F) in secreted form to elicit neutralizing antibodies, and the nucleocapsid protein (N) and transcription anti-termination protein (M2-1) for CD8+ T cell responses. Developed for RSV prevention in infants and young children, it has demonstrated immunogenicity, safety without vaccine-associated enhanced respiratory disease (VAERD), and efficacy in preclinical bovine models and phase I/II trials in RSV-seropositive toddlers (12-23 months) and seronaive infants (6-7 months), inducing dose-dependent neutralizing antibody titers and protection against clinical symptoms and lung pathology upon challenge.[1][3][5]
