ChAd63-MVA CS is a viral-vectored malaria vaccine candidate that uses a heterologous prime-boost regime to target the circumsporozoite protein (CS) of Plasmodium falciparum. It consists of two components: ChAd63 CS (a replication-deficient chimpanzee adenovirus 63 vector) and MVA CS (a modified vaccinia virus Ankara vector), both expressing the CS antigen. This vaccine platform aims to induce both strong T-cell responses and antibody responses against the CS protein, which is a key antigen found on the surface of malaria sporozoites.
