Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ChAdOx1-P1A is an investigational cancer vaccine utilizing the ChAdOx1 (chimpanzee adenovirus Oxford 1) viral vector platform to deliver the P1A tumor-associated antigen. P1A is a non-mutated embryonic antigen frequently expressed in certain murine tumors, such as the P815 mastocytoma, making it a common target in preclinical oncology research. The vaccine is designed to stimulate a robust CD8+ T-cell response against cells expressing the P1A antigen. This specific construct has been used primarily in preclinical studies to evaluate the efficacy of the ChAdOx1 platform in oncology and to study the synergy between viral vector vaccines and other immunotherapies, such as checkpoint inhibitors and STING agonists.
