Overview
CHALL-2013 is a clinical treatment protocol developed by Changhai Hospital and the Naval Medical University for the management of adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). As a standardized regimen within the Chinese Adult Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (CHALL) framework, it typically consists of multi-agent induction chemotherapy—often incorporating vincristine, anthracyclines (such as daunorubicin), cyclophosphamide, and corticosteroids—followed by consolidation and maintenance phases. The protocol serves as a foundational therapy against which newer, precision-based interventions (such as CHALL-2020) are compared. CHALL-2020 aims to improve outcomes by integrating minimal residual disease (MRD) monitoring, targeted molecular therapies, and optimized CAR-T cell therapy strategies into the baseline established by CHALL-2013.
