CHALL-2020 (Changhai Hospital)

CHALL-2020 is a clinical treatment protocol for adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), developed by Changhai Hospital of the Naval Medical University. It is a risk-stratified, multi-agent regimen that builds upon the previous CHALL-2013 protocol. The system integrates precision diagnosis—utilizing cytogenetics, molecular biology, and minimal residual disease (MRD) monitoring—to tailor therapeutic intensity. The treatment typically consists of induction, consolidation, and maintenance phases using a combination of cytotoxic chemotherapy (such as vincristine, anthracyclines, and cyclophosphamide), corticosteroids, and asparaginase. Depending on the patient's molecular profile (e.g., Philadelphia chromosome status), the protocol may also incorporate targeted agents like tyrosine kinase inhibitors or monoclonal antibodies.
