Overview

CHAM is a combination therapy regimen primarily investigated for relapsed/refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). It consists of CPI-613 (devimistat), high-dose cytarabine, and mitoxantrone. CPI-613 (devimistat) is an investigational drug designed to target the altered energy metabolism and processes for the production of ATP and essential bio-intermediates characteristic of cancer cells. Cytarabine is an antimetabolite that interferes with DNA synthesis, while mitoxantrone is a topoisomerase II inhibitor. This combination aims to improve complete remission rates in older patients with AML.
