Chamomile cream

Chamomile cream is a topical preparation containing extracts from the flowers of the *Matricaria recutita* (German chamomile) or *Chamaemelum nobile* (Roman chamomile) plants. It is used primarily for its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties in treating skin and mucous membrane inflammations and various skin diseases. The mechanism of action involves anti-inflammatory effects attributed to compounds such as apigenin and bisabolol found in the plant extract. Chamomile creams are applied to relieve symptoms associated with eczema, dermatitis, hemorrhoids, mucositis (chemo-induced), and other minor skin irritations. Clinical evidence supporting these uses is limited but suggests potential benefit for reducing inflammation and promoting healing[3][8].
