Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Chandraprabha (also known as Chandraprabha Vati) is a classical multi-ingredient Ayurvedic herbal formulation traditionally used for various urinary, reproductive, and metabolic disorders. In a clinical trial conducted by the University of Colombo (Institute of Indigenous Medicine), it was evaluated for its efficacy in treating uterine fibroids (leiomyoma). The formulation typically contains a complex mixture of herbs, minerals, and salts, including Guggulu (Commiphora mukul), Shilajit, and various other botanical extracts. It is administered orally in pill or tablet form and is considered a traditional botanical formulation rather than a single-molecule pharmaceutical.
