Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Chanfukang (产复康颗粒) is a traditional Chinese medicine granule formulation composed of multiple herbal ingredients including motherwort (益母草), angelica (当归), ginseng (人参), astragalus (黄芪), polygonum multiflorum (何首乌), peach kernel (桃仁), cattail pollen (蒲黄), prepared rehmannia root (熟地黄), vinegar-processed cyperus rhizome (醋香附), kelp (昆布), atractylodes macrocephala rhizome (白术) and black fungus mushroom(黑木耳). It is used primarily to tonify qi and nourish blood, promote blood circulation to remove blood stasis, and stimulate tissue regeneration. The main clinical indication is for treatment of postpartum conditions characterized by qi deficiency and blood stasis leading to prolonged lochia or excessive postpartum bleeding accompanied by fatigue, pale complexion, abdominal pain, and weakness in the waist and legs. The drug is administered orally as granules dissolved in hot water. Typical dosage ranges from 5g to 20g three times daily for 5-7 days per course; it can be used long-term during the puerperium period. Its mechanism involves traditional Chinese medicine principles of replenishing vital energy and improving blood flow rather than a defined molecular pharmacology mechanism.[1][2][3][4][5]
