Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Changfu Formula (CFR), also known as the Compound Formula for Intestinal Diseases, is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal preparation developed by Peking University People's Hospital. It is specifically designed for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. CFR is typically administered as part of an integrated medicine regimen, combining TCM with conventional Western therapies. The formula is intended to induce and maintain clinical remission, facilitate mucosal healing, and improve the long-term prognosis of patients. It is currently the subject of large-scale observational and prospective cohort studies in China to evaluate its real-world effectiveness, safety, and to identify biomarkers that can predict patient response to the treatment.
