Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Changjiling granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. It is specifically designed for the treatment of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D). The formulation is based on the academic theories of Professor Zhou Fusheng, particularly the "correlation of heart and stomach," which suggests that IBS symptoms are linked to both gastrointestinal dysfunction and psychological factors. Changjiling is intended to regulate gut motility, reduce visceral hypersensitivity, and improve the quality of life for patients exhibiting specific TCM patterns of disharmony. It has been evaluated in randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials in China to assess its efficacy and safety in symptom relief.
